Listen to Obituary

Arlene Dutchover Guerrero, 54, of Fort Davis, Texas passed away peacefully at the Big Bend Medical Regional Center on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.

Arlene was born on January 17, 1972, in Alpine, Texas to Maria and Elias Dutchover. Arlene grew up in Fort Davis, Texas and graduated from Fort Davis High School in 1990. At just 18 years old, she answered the call to serve her country by enlisting in the United States Army. During her military service, she proudly served in Operation Desert Storm.

While stationed overseas, Arlene married her first husband in Denmark in 1992. Later that year, while they were stationed in Germany, they welcomed their first son, Adrian Glidewell.

Arlene returned to the United States in 1993, where she devoted herself to raising her children: Adrian, Kylie and Neil. She was a hardworking woman who spent time working at Poco Mexico, her family’s restaurant, cleaning cabins at Bloys campmeeting, selling insurance, working at the Fort Davis Inn, and making countless memories with her many friends and family.

In 2004, Arlene met the love of her life, Gustavo Guerrero. Together they built a life filled with love and welcomed their daughter, Juliet. Gustavo was her greatest companion and some of Arlene’s happiest days were those spent by his side. She passed away peacefully beside the love of her life.

Arlene will be remembered for her strength, her dedication to her family, her service to her country, but mostly her loud contagious laugh and her bright red lipstick.

She is survived by her parents Maria and Elias Dutchover; her husband Gustavo Guerrero; daughters, Kylie and husband Lance Rose and Juliet Guerrero; sons, Adrian and Neil Glidewell; granddaughters, Jaelyn, Amanda and McKinsley Rose; grandsons, Tyler, Lane and Liam Glidewell; sister, Julie Sanchez and husband Mario Sanchez; brothers, James and Manny Dutchover and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
