Emilea Bloys Mills, last living grandchild of Rev. W.B. Bloys, was called to her heavenly home on December 14 2023, just a month and a half short of her 101st birthday. Momo may have been small in stature but her heart was large and full of love.
Graveside services for Emilea Bloys Mills held on December 18, 2023 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Fort Davis, TX. Emilea, 100, was born February 5, 1923 in Valentine, TX. She was a retired Deputy Clerk from the courthouse in Mentone TX. Emilea attended schools in both Valentine, TX and Fort Davis, TX. After graduating from Fort Davis High School in 1941, she attended college at Mary Hardin-Baylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Bloys and Ophelia Parker Bloys, her husband; Lane George Mills Sr, siblings Mary Isabell Medley, Mable Eleandore Kelly, LeRoy Humphrey Bloys, Jr., Vivian Edna Grubb, daughter Shirley Hannah, and great-great granddaughter Millie Dawn Mills. Survivors include her son, Lane “Buster” Mills, and wife Pam of Fort Davis TX; granddaughter LanDee Mills; grandson Blaine Hannah; granddaughter Velvet Hartnett and husband Hammer; granddaughter Shannon Molina; grandson Keith Maxam and wife Bevin; Andy Hannah husband of Shirley; and a multitude of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren who will dearly miss their Momo. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews who all referred to Emilea as Aunt Speck. Pallbearers: LanDee Mills, Keith Maxam, Shannon Molina, Paden Winters, Harley Winters, and Wyatt Winters; with honorary pallbearers being Sam Maxam and Hammer Hartnett.
